Henry Cavill shares a message as DC cancels the making of Superman Returns after Wonder Woman 3.
James Gunn and Peter Safran are going for a newer, younger Superman film for their DC superman roster. Which Gunn is currently writing.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Henry Cavill’s acting and demeanor are highly suitable for the role and he is partially responsible for the success of the superman series. Remember the comeback we all were waiting for, the comeback of Henry Cavill as superman? The one teaser at the end of Black Adam and then confirmed by Henry himself? Well, it’s sad to say but it’s not gonna happen. Instead of Henry, we are going to have a superman film that focuses on the younger version of the character. Which James Gunn himself is writing.

Cavill revealed on Instagram that he just met the bosses of DC Films’ Gunn and Peter Safran. Who told him that he’s not part of the upcoming future superman film? Here’s the full statement.
“Peter & I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over-the-moon about; we’ll be able to share some exciting information about our first projects at the beginning of the new year,” Gunn releasing a statement soon after Cavill’s post “Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life. So the character will not be played by Henry Cavill. But we just had a great meeting with Henry. We’re big fans and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”
Gunn then said that he was writing the new superman script. But they have yet to decide which director to work with. However, despite it, being focused on a younger superman it is not going to be the origin story.
The news went viral after a jaw-dropping amount of reports were made by Hollywood Reporter about not just the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3. But also a hint that we may not see Henry Cavill in the later series. And while Gunn later said that some part of this story is not true but this part, obviously, is.
Next, we just have to connect all the dots. If Cavill’s out, and a new superman is in. When it is almost that Black Adam is out, right? what about Flash and Aquaman will Cavill be there as superman or are we gonna see the new face? May all these Future films be as exciting as the previous ones were.
